About

I am a 4th-year architecture student at the University of Edinburgh, with a particular interest in adaptive reuse, manufacturing, ‘civic space’, and materials. This process requires a deep sensitivity to the design, especially regarding material compatibility, the integration of new interventions within existing frameworks, and the creative opportunities new or used sites present. This coincides with my interest in componment fabrication and material behaviour, both of which I see as paramount for understanidng how to apply a sensitive and considered tectonic to the incresingly uncertain future of architectural production.

I am passionate about using low-processed and low-impact materials, such as timber and stone, and find great value in working with materials that engage the senses—offering both haptic and tactile experiences. I am also drawn to the historical significance that buildings can hold, and I am committed to exploring how to unlock the design potential of recoverable materials, objects, and buildings, to giving them new life while respecting their rooted origins.

My approach to architecture is grounded in several careful considerations from spatial relationships to technical detailing. I strive to create sophisticated environments that establish a complementary atmosphere, all while being conscious of the sites in which these projects are situated. This perspective, I believe, is key to creating architecture that is both thoughtful and respectful of its surroundings, offering a lasting impact on the built environment.
